What this site provides, and what it does not
The site publishes general information about growing foliage plants indoors. It is informational only. It is not veterinary advice, not medical advice, and not a substitute for professional judgement.
Plant care depends on conditions this site cannot observe: your local climate, the exact light at your window, the composition of your tap water, the age and health of the individual plant. A number that is right for one home can be wrong for another. Apply what you read with judgement.
Toxicity information
Toxicity statements on this site describe the general effect of a species on cats and dogs as reported in the literature. Individual reactions vary with the amount eaten, the part of the plant, the animal's size and its health. If an animal has eaten any part of a plant, contact a veterinarian or a poison control centre immediately. Do not wait for symptoms and do not rely on this site to decide whether a case is serious.
